JD 3320 suddenly will not move. Throws an error code 14. Solonoid coil insufficient. Bought a new coil but can’t find where the solonoid is located!

G'day mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

What I would do is to call/visit your JD Dealership, or any JD Dealership, and talk to their Parts/Service department. They will be able to explain the the Code and provide a schematic to locate the solenoid... for free. If they're too far away, they'll email the schematic.

I know that my Dealership would do this. They'd also provide the advice of a mechanic.

You did not say if HST or PRT transmission.

It seems no one has the answer to the location of the solonoid coil on a JD 3320 with a cab.

It is a hydrostatic transmission. I have seen this diagram but searched the entire transmission area and cannot orient this picture to the tractor. Is the center case shown in this diagram visible without dismantling other structures?

Is your starter like this, if so is not the solenoid in the bottom of the starter

Can any one help with a reverse issue on a 3320 hydro error 14? I have read a few forums with a few others with the same issue but know mentioned of what the repair was. Currently I have checked voltage at the foot pedals both forward and reverse are the same 1 volt to 4 volts at full travel. I...

I went to the JohnDeere dealer and spoke to a helpful parts manager who printed off numerous tech pages for me. The reason I couldn’t find the solenoid is because it is in the center case of the transmission. I will write more after I continue working with the tech sheets.

The solonoid in question is not for the starter. The engine runs fine. The solenoid controlling hydraulic fluid flow to the hydrostatic transmission can not be seen located either in the center case of the transmission housing or above it .
