Have the 3320 and I'm changing out the transmission/hydraulic fluid and want to change that filter on the transmission. Have completed the search function here and have seen that the "cap" twists off and that some have said no luck with the strap wrench (which I have used --the rubber one with no results) and one said the use of 16" channel-locks worked. Don't want to damage the housing cap..... Is there a special wrench to go onto that cap? That cap seems to be on there big time..... Fluid changed at 500 hrs and work completed by the dealer, now at 1K hrs and doing the work myself. Thanks for any tips and tricks.

Have a new filter for the transmission ordered but going to take some time to arrive. If the new hydraulic fluid is installed in the machine with the old filter and then when the new filter arrives, is it possible to remove the old filter without dumping all the new hydraulic fluid (~7gal) out from the filter housing?
Thank you.

Just wait till you have everything you need. A few more hours isn't going to hurt anything.
