Thanks for the comments - I've been off line for a while. I did a little research on this machine and it was 're-lifed' about 4 years ago. The repair order paid by the taxpayers of Tennessee was $48K. Best I can tell almost everything was replaced.

I like the substantial roll over protection and cage although that doesn't insure you won't get hurt. My neighbor says those cages are great when you hit a hornets nest. The bees can get in and you can't get out.

I have an RV project - a RV6A. Somewhat dormant but I am hopeful.

I have not started on a RV yet. I have been real close a few times. I just got my RVator the other day in the mail. I am hooked on the RV-7. I have a spot for a easy 4000' strip on the side of a bean field.
Good luck with 350c. Just work the brush with the corner of the blade angled and tilted to dig around. Then push from the middle with the blade high. On big stuff you can work from both sides around to make a ramp. That way you can push higher. Has anyone on this fourm gussed was your ID Name was before?

You should be able to take off and land 6 or more times in 4000 ft - if I can buy a parcel north of our property I could probably get 3400 ft. right now it looks like about 2100 ft.

I've got a good friend with a RV-7 and several others with other RVs flying or in process. Mine has been dormant for several years.

Thanks for the tips - I'm concerned it won't be big enough, but I also didn't want to buy something worn out and have some huge repair bills. I feel very good about the condition of this unit. My objective is to clear out some growth around the structures on the property, clear some fence rows and clean up an old orchard.

My goal is to have a nice light twin one day so I will need a longer strip. Also have friends with spam can that might be using it. Boy it is fun to dream of stuff to do. I hape to get my D4C back togather in the next few days. I have a new rake for it. I have the blade and C frame off it now changing pins, bearings and lines. I hope to have it up for the long weekend. We are still dry. So I can finnish up on some projects.
