JD 3520 ehydro jumping out of gear

Ok thanks everyone I feel a little better not going to rush the tractor into John Deere so they can split her apart and have a look :0 but I did engage the 4 wheel drive once when I was moving slow by mistake and not stopped and it seemed like it acted up a little more then it ever did before after this. I am hoping maybe I just knocked something out on the linlkage slightly. I agree when I am at a dead stop and first start the tractor there is no trouble shifting the selector only after been moving for awhile!

It is fine to shift in and out of 4 wheel drive while moving. It is the A-B-C range that Greg was referring to that you need to be stopped. If you are just barely inching with no load I think it is a little easier to shift ranges than when stopped. Like any unsyncronized gear set, sometimes the gears don't mesh until things move just a bit. Kind of like shifting a 4wd truck from 4 hi to 4 lo.... it's easier if you are creeping along.

Sometime mine is hard to shift so I just press the forward or back pedal a little bit and it comes out. Same thing for getting it in gear.

Yep that's it, especially when it's in 4WD. What you're doing is taking the stress off the gears.
