I want to change the fuel filters on my JD 3720 and the owner manual says to change the filter only when the tank is low. What is the deal with that? Will the tank drain out? What do I have to watch out for besides fuel all over?
Thanks for any tips.

There should be a fuel shut-off valve at the sediment bowl which would prevent the tank from draining. Filter change should proceed without too much trouble after that. I'm sure there'll be some leakage around the filter seal which you can stay with a towel.
