Maybe you guys could split a set --- 2 spacers for Fuse and 2 spacers for Roy. Or, anyone wanting 4" wider wheels on a 4x20 series may be interested in half a set. I got the exact same spacers little over a year ago on ebay (skidsteer solutions) and put half set on the 3720 and the other half set on the 4320 so I know for fact it works on both. A set of 4 is now $350 with free shipping (I paid $300 last year with free shipping). Hec, maybe skidsteer solutions will ship half to Roy and the other half to Fuse. They use USPS flat rate shipping with two spacers per box. Their toll free phone number is listed in the ebay ad on the link below.

Not quite, I'm afraid...the 4400 tractor has a 6 bolt wheel, the 3720 has an 8 bolt wheel.

Roy, didn't realize you had a 4400. Learn something every day on this forum. Bag that idea.

Fuse, the folks at skid steer solutions may sell just a half a set. Worth a phone call. They are real nice people. Like I said above, they ship 2 spacers per flat rate USPS box. Also, going around ebay you may save some money because skid steer solutions won't have to pay that ridiculous ebay fee.

Roy is right, I have the wheels set all the way out as wide as possible right now. I am moving a lot of farm equipment on and off a trailer using the loader so I want the wide track. I won't need it all the time so I'll change it as needed.
There are a lot of options because I can have zero one or two spacers with the wheels in or out.

The tractor came with zero/ wheels-in which is too narrow for anything.

I did not use blue Lock Tite, I used purple so I could undo it. Also, my wheels are not loaded with fluid so they are easy to move around ( for me anyway).
I use a ballast box. I like to be able to make the tractor light for mowing soft ground when needed.

Sunny I have the same 6-bolt 6" center tires as Roy. I believe their is a market for very heavy extenders approx 15" Dia with the 4" inch center hole and make them 4" thick. Roy and I can keep the valves on the outside and I would get ballast. Wonder if it would be 150lbs each. 300lbs of steel at JD approx price of $1.50 per pound + some centerline machining = $450.00
Also make some for the newer 4000 series 8-bolt

Hi guys,

I've got a John Deere 3720 with cab and I am very interested in adding extensions.

My tires are not filled but I would like to add some weight so I was thinking about wheel weights.

Any thoughts/ concerns about adding wheel weights on top of the extensions? Is this even possible or does the extension prohibit the install of weights?

Also any thoughts or concerns about my JD warranty? I asked my dealer if extensions would affect my warranty and he couldn't/ wouldn't give me an answer.

Do it. Especially if you have a FEL you really should have weighted rears and ballast box. Spacers also if working on hill sides.

I have a 3720 cab tractor with Rim Guard in rears and wheel spacers. It sure does wonders for stability and safety when working on hills.

Sorry, I can't answer the question of extensions being compatible with weights, ie holes and clearances..

Wheel weights can still be added with the extensions. Wheel weights put all the weight on the wheel and at the point of contact with the ground so there isn't and negative effect on the axle load because the axle doesn't really see the added weight.

Thanks for the quick replies guys.

I've been using the 375 backhoe as ballast but I don't really want to have to worry about putting that on every time I want to use the FEL.

I've got a ballast box on the way but I don;t think the BB on it's own will give enough weight. So I was thinking to add wheel weights and the more I read about the extensions the more I think they will be a good idea.

Also I'm under the impression (maybe I am foolishly mistaken) that wider back tires with extra weight will make the whole ride much more stable (375 BH on or off).
