Long lunch break.

Same here on mine.. There is no seat switch. Really nice when you are standing up to see the tips of your forks going into a pallet.:)

Are you sure you heard them correctly? I can't leave any of my gear tractors "in gear" while stopped on a hill. HST yes, gear no.

Hey man... Just repeating what the Jamoke said. No need to jab at the messenger.

As I suspected many people have their opinions on HST. I have my own experience and appreciate everyone's input. I was hoping to get a little bit more machine specific feedback. Has anyone used both of these tractors?

Almost all of us own only one of a given size tractor at once and as both the models you are considering have good reputations I doubt anyone has owned both. We all do our research, take some test drives, and then make a choice based on features, price and dealer. There is likely no wrong answer in the choice you need to make. Indeed there are probably another three or four other brands with equally competent similar tractors that you would be happy with. Just choose your favorite color or let your wife decide. You'll be happy.

Good luck, I doubt you'll ever hear from anyone on that.

No jab intended. I don't know of a gear tractor that can be left "in gear" (clutch out and/or fwd/rev in either direction) while stopped on a hill. HST will hold to a large degree. That is why I thought maybe there was a simple misunderstanding.
