JD 4300 broken in half

I had said that someone bought the stickers on the hood, and after reading your post i looked again... and it looks like a new hood.

I have also heard that if you buy a new hood the stickers don't come on it.

I looked at both of them & they have really been worked hard

Did anyone notice the block of wood at the back of the hoe?-

I seen some nice mowing decks.

If you put a belly mowing deck on a 4300, do you need to add something else raise to up & down??__


I have never looked into buying a deck for mine but would like to find out some more info. about one.

Now I understand your earlier post about the stickers. The bare hoods are
about $300, the stickers are about $16 each, and the hood does not include
the fuel door, and hinges/latches. A "complete" new hood is more like 400-
450.

The first one is broken thru the casting and separated. It has a heavy
4-in-1 on it, as well as the bigger of the 2 hoes designed for it. It is very
likely that using the backhoe resulted in the breakage. I wonder how it
even got moved after it was broken. Certainly $4000 is a good price for it
with the usable hoe, FEL, and other parts. I expect it to bring $7-8K when
the auction is over.

I never thought the hoods cost that much...and you would figure the fuel door would come with it when you bought a new hood.... The stickers isn't worth $16 each.

The MMM uses a hydraulic cylinder to raise/lower the deck, so you need the 3rd SCV (rear remote) option. There are used decks around, but make SURE it includes all the attaching hardware for your machine because those can get very expensive if it's not included. Expect to pay 1000$ to 2500$ for a 72" deck.

Nothing more than what I said in #13 above. I have no insider
knowledge.

I believe that Ebay outfit specializes in rental "unloads" and auction finds. Looks to me like that 4300 had a hard life even before the breakage. Looks pretty rough for only 1700 hrs. My guess would be land clearing. Someone thought a compact tractor could be a 30000lb dozer or trackhoe.

Looks like ITEM #130312019641 sold for $6100. I hope the new owner
checks with TBN!

the first 4300 that is pictured was owned by a utility co . the operator broke it in half once before that and broke the rear axle housings several times , and yes he did it while using the backhoe attachment .
