JD 4300 TLB specs help

   / JD 4300 TLB specs help #11
I would stay away from a rental unit. You know it was used every weekend by someone different. Usually not caring what the machine went through or how they treated it becuse it was a rental unit. I have my 4300 01 for 2 years and it has 200 hours on it now. I take care of it. I do all required and what I deem necessary maintenace. I carefully investigate all strange noises and any suspected problems. I have rented tractors in the past and when I returned them they were no longer my problem. Leased vehicles are generally operated by the same people for the entire lease and they are responsible for taking care of the vehicle or the pay the price when the lease ends. Just one man's opinion.

Bringing this thread back to life. I am in the market for a TLB and ran across a JD 4300, 430 loader, 48 hoe, HST, 2WD, 444 hrs for $14K. Not a rental. There is indication the Hoe was used hard, but it performed well. Everything performed well. Is this the deal I think it may be?

I don't think you would be happy with the 2wd I know I'm always engaging my 4wd It's a nice feature to have.

GOOD LUCK

You definitely want a 4 wheel drive. I often use mine when I get stuck or bogged down.
