Now to address your questions more specifically. The bolts that hold the mounting plates to the rear end are standard metric bolts, grade 8, I think. It's a good idea to start with new bolts, as you suggested.

The 48 backhoe is run off the power beyond at the rear end. You'll need that kit. Are you sure that your rear remotes are not power beyond? Does the tractor have a hose that plugs into one of those fittings?

Not to be a Debbie downer . there is no such thing as a metric grade 8. now a 5.8, 8.8 and a 10.9 and a 12.9 are available In metric. the metric system grading is much different than standard. a close bolt to a grade 8 US standard would be the metric 10.9 YMMV.

I don't know for sure if the mounts are the same. they look like they could be . but without having a earlier set to measure i cant be sure ? You can order the correct mounts for the 4600 when you order a 440R , you just have to tell the sales guy . it was no extra cost compared to the same set up for the 4044 tractor that I could see.

the aluminum comment is only applies to the 4100 to 4400 models. the 4500 to 4700 were all steel !
Thanks

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the reply. I am not sure as I am awaiting delivery on the tractor. I know it has a set of rear remotes. I don't know if they are Power Beyond. Is there an easy way to tell? My son will be picking it up next week and I can have him verify.

If power beyond remotes, there is a loop connecting hose that is needed to return hyd. oil. Without it, the system dead-heads, if I recall correctly. You will know more when you get delivery.

Yes Dan and been there are correct. if it's power beyond. there will be a hose that loops the 1 to the other. its that way with my last 3 CUT's with backhoes have been.

@Hoss710 Thanks for correcting me on the bolt grades. Anyway, the metric bolts will have the grade marked on the head.
