I was wondering if anyone out there might shed some light on how long it usually takes to take delivery on a tractor after it is ordered? My father and I ordered the 4610 the first week of Oct. it is now Dec. 5th and still no tractor. The dealer said it was invoiced on the 25th of Nov. The wait is killing both of us.

Received my tractor about 10 days after the dealer told me that it was "invoiced". Hope your's get there soon! I know the waiting killed me too!

I'm in the same boat - ordered a 2210 in early October. Tractor just came in now waiting for FEL. The way I understand it , JD issues an invoice to the dealer when the unit ships. Good luck (to us both)

I ordered my JD 4610 April 12th and it was delivered June 13th. From all the posts I see about this, JD is still about 2 months behind. You'll probably get it today! Hey, it's sure worth the wait!

I ordered my 4710 in mid Sept. and it was at the delear less than two weeks later. Do you have any "unusual" options or specs involved (my dealer showed me his info from Deere outlining what ship times were for specific tractor "packages" - like R4/AWD etc....) I have to think that the delay time should be short at this time of year.

No Bill, no unusual options or specs. Pretty common stuff like R4s. ehydro, FEL. I know I had to wait for it to be built.

Although the wait did save me 900 bucks. During my wait, JD came out with a $700 rebate on the tractor and $200 on the FEL and since I hadn't signed any papers yet. I reckon the wait was worth that huh?

CWWANTS,

I waited about 5 weeks for my tractor after placing the order. As you can see from my profile, I got a 4310 eHydro with all electronic options, R4, 430 FEL with 61" HD bucket, 48 BH with 12" bucket and 59" front mount JD 2 stage snowthrower.

The tractor itself arrived at the dealer about 2 weeks after I ordered it, but there was a whole lot of prep work for the attachments: mid PTO for the snowblower + all the associated brackets etc, set up for the BH, chain hooks welded on and paint matched for the FEL (3 hooks) and BH bucket (1 hook). Adding the cruise control and speed match electronics switches (done at the dealer). I also had two rear flood lights added to the ROPS. I ordered a bolt on, reversible, replaceable cutting edge for the FEL bucket as well.

The snowblower and BH were later in arriving at the dealer and certain specific items were holding things up like availability on the 12" BH bucket and the speedmatch and cruise control switches.

In general, Deere was a little behind, but there was an awful lot of work to do for my order on the part of the dealer. It was a long and anxious wait - but boy was it worth it! I actually didn't mind that the dealer took a little extra time because I would rather they spend the time and do it right than do a rush job and mess something up.

In the end, I think it comes down to Deere availability and your specific order complexity/oddity. I knew my snowblower was not a popular item and consequently I would have to ait a little longer. My dealer was really good though, he let me know as the major components came in. It's weird how they ship stuff too. The cutting edge/wear bar for the FEL didn't come with the FEL, it came with the speedmatch and cruise control switches.

Well I hope this gives a feel for how long it can take and what might make things take a little longer. Pretty soon you won't care because you'll be riding around on it. Can't wait to see some pictures. Good Luck!

Well it finally showed up at the dealer on Friday and he said it would be prepped and delivered on Monday. We do have a question about one of the options we ordered? We ordered adjustable three point arms and they didn't come from the factory that way and the dealer said this was a kit that had to be insalled at the dealership.

Are you talking about the telescoping draft links? If you are, it is a dealer install. I got that too but the draft links didn't come in till after I got my tractor. Don't forget to get the ones that came with your tractor. You might need them some day.
