Happy New Year everyone.
My John Deere 5320 parking pau is no longer working and I was thinking about older tractors and how we used to always use the foot brakes to secure tractors when we parked them. I’m thinking if there would be a way to do that with my JD 5320. The brakes work fine on the tractor and would be a better option to secure the tractor when it is parked. What I’m wondering if anyone knows of a manual after market clamping system, that is not standard equipment, available to be mounted on the tractor so the brakes are used to secure the tractor when parked. My thinking is the current method (parking Pau) is a week link and very expensive to replace when it wears out. I’m sure I’m not the only one who has this problem and surprised no one has designed a clamping mechanism to keep brakes clamped when parking any John Deere tractors that have the parking Pau. Would like any feedback from anyone who might have suggestions, because to repair and replace the parking Pau (Pau part cost less than $200.00) is $5,000+.
Thanks
