Do you know which way it should turn if the boom is currently locked out but the bucket curl and dum still function? That's where I am right now and can't tell what the pictures on the ring are supposed to line up with...

Counterclockwise. You are at the last position if only the bucket operates. Next will be only boom, then all, then all locked. Poor design
