Got the GT12 installed which is nice with the watercooled center. Did a test run and am pulling 10psi boost at 7400ft msl and ambient of 85°. This is double the GT15. Just need to rotate the center housing so the feed lines will fit under the hood/cowlings. Very pleased with this result. Should really perform with a 3pt snowblower and the cool temps this winter.

First test run. Wastegate is safety wired shut. Got over 10 psi boost pulling up my driveway hill.

Wildbear i added a boost gauge last weekend. I am seeing 7-8 psi at full throttle under load.

Nice!!
I'm going to install an egt just out of curiousity.
I'm perfectly happy with the boost....especially since it was an 85degree day at 7500 ft elevation.

I too am curious to see what egt' you see. That thing really screams in the vid! Nice job on the project. Have you hooked it to anything and "worked" it yet?

Not yet. My main goal is a 3pt snowblower for this coming winter . We got pummelled this year. Thanks for the compliment.
I'll post again with a parts list once I get the covers to fit properly.
Glad to hear you got good boost. I raised max rpm a bit also with the throttle stop.
Anxious to see what it'll do in about 20 degree weather

Back the dam thing out till it starts smoking heavy & screw it back in a smidge.. DONE.

Hey thepumpguysc,, I got a question,, well, two questions actually,,
When the "til it starts smoking" adjustment is done,, is that done under load, or sitting in the driveway?

Question number two has to do with cooling,,
When I compare the 955 to my JD4105, I see the engines are virtually identical except the 4105 has a turbo.
The 4105 also has 40% more coolant, So I assume the radiator in the 4105 is way bigger?

Is extra cooling a necessity when you add a turbo?

The reason I ask is that we also have a JD 855,, it could use a little extra torque when mowing,,,

CADplans, my experience was to turn the threaded part the cap screws onto out 1/4 turn, run it see what it does. Give it a little more for the next run, until you dial it in. I have a jd mower that i have turned up about 1/2 turn. It mowes all day with no smoke but when you need that little bit more power like on a steep hill that thing will bear down, make smoke and barely drop rpm's.
