I need a rebuild kit for the OEM carburetor on a JD AMT 600. It has a Kawasaki engine. The carburetor PN is JD AM108381. I contacted Jack's Small Engines. they said that the engine is locked to JD even though it is a Kawasaki and they cannot provide parts for it nor can they suggest an aftermarket carburetor that would work. Before I call JD I am hoping I can find some help here. The OEM carb, even if you can find it costs as much as a modern engine. I am looking for either a rebuild kit or a compatible aftermarket carburetor. The engine as near as I can tell is a Kawasaki KF82D-F.

Welcome to TBN.This engine is use a in a lot of Club Car golf carts. There is nothing sacred about this engine. I have attached a shop manual PDF that has your engine in it. OK the file is to big.
There are ton of carbs for sale on the internet. Just make sure that it looks like yours and has the correct hole spacing.

Yeah, the golf carts use a plug the the operator pushes in to choke for starting. Keep looking, I'm sure you will find one that will work for you.
After some checking and searching the internet, it appears that the carb for the Kawasaki 15003-2647 FE290D-DS20 / ES20 4 Stroke Engine FE290D will mate up to your KF82 engine. This carb has a choke.
