JD backhoe on a NH

I have a NH tc29 (2000 or 2001model year, cant remember which) and wondering if its possible to put a JDpro900 backhoe onto this tractor. I know Ill need a sub frame (I know to stay away from 3pt backhoe attatchments) but I cant find any specs online about this hoe so I dont really know just how big it is.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Exactly. and Im not just using it to dig trenches in nice soft topsoil. it would be used primarily to dig out rocks. (I realize I would have to work at it and go easy)

Looking at the pdf from the ealier post it almost looks like its on a quik attach plate. I have a friend that is a cert.welder and works at Cat.Work tools building buckets and blades. wonder if a sub-frame could be built to bolt this to and run the hydros off a pto pump? (I dont have rear remotes, something else I would like)

Do some research on the net about it and you'll see. Granted most of the time people say that with care and proper usage a 3pt hoe will be fine. However, how many of us (men and tools) will not go beyond what the machine can do just to get the job done? I know for a fact that I would break it in half on the first day. While building my rock wall I rented a mini excavator to dig out some rocks that were in the way of my footing. More than once I had that mini with all the weight of the machine off the tracks and up on the blade trying to "get-r-done". I know enough to not even think about a 3point hoe in my situation orits going to cost me way more than it should.

No research needed, I own one. So do lots of other folks.

And you can get any hoe you want and I wont blink an eye one way or the other.

Just don't tell me it's a common thing for 3pt hoes to break tractors because it's not true.

I think you are responding that way cause you made the mistake of buying a 3 point backhoe without doing research first.

There has been several threads here over the years regarding tractors " Breaking " in half with backhoe's attached , Specifically N.H. tractors and cracks in the bell housing areas BUT Although I have asked , 1) Unsure if 3 point or subframe and 2) Unsure if standard transmission or HST model . Also Unsure " How " top-link was attached , In other words , How much pressure was applied to top link . When attaching my 757C to my TC 30 HST , I can use down pressure on boom and really pull up a lot of slack in the top link , BUT I DON'T , I simply back into hoe , use stabilizers to raise and align , then back completely into hoe . Attach front pins , then hook up top link , raise stabilizers and snug up top link with hoe in basically a " Travel " position . There is no movement in backhoe while traveling or using and there is little if any torquing of tractor between front sub frame pins , back hoe and top link back to tractor .

My belief was that people were over tightening the top link thus shifting the pressure point farther up the tractor into the bell housing .

Just read this post Willl I just bought a Case/Davis D100A mini 3 point backhoe, I want to mount it on my Beaver-3 18hp tractor
Now for many questions, is tractor big enough ?, do I need a sub-frame? Thanks in advance.
