Is anyone familiar w/ the 'single point' lube (multilube) system the can be had on JD balers? From what I can tell it appears to be actuated by bales moving thru the case. Is that correct? What powers it? Is it truly single point or does it only grease certain subsystems leaving others to be manually greased? Is it trouble free (reliable)?

Been a long time since I had one of these bailers. Memory could be faulty and design could have changed over the yrs.

Seem to recall mine was powered off the knoter mechanism. Don't recall it lubing anything more than the knoters.

Used a JD 214WS baler when I was a kid. Ours was lubed manually by a pump. Can't remember how often to lube. There were some other zerks that needed to be greased in the baler head area, but not a lot.

Which baler?

The new 468 round baler have a luber that lubes when the gate opens. I am told it way over lubes stuff.
