Matt was the person to whom I spoke as well, and as I said, seemed nice. His manager was the one I was asking all the questions that Matt couldn't answer. He evidently worked in a JD service center as a mechanic, and was a wealth of knowledge. The Green South dealership used to be called the Orange Park Powerhouse, and had a limited amount of smaller tractors, and were primarily a Stihl dealership. The owner retired about 6 months ago, and Green South, who was primarily in Hastings FL, and is one of the largest Deere dealers in North FL, took over the Power House location and changed the name, and started carrying the large tractors.
I don't know from where in GA you're travelling, but take I 295 to Blanding, vice coming through town on I 95 and crossing the Buckman. An alternate route that is sometimes faster is US 17S to Kingsley in Orange Park,go right and follow to Blanding, then take a left. Try to avoid coming here anytime between 0630 and 0830 and 1500 to 1900 M-F, and avoid the Blanding/Argyle Forest/Wells Rd/Orange Park Mall on weekends. The traffic is horrendous, thanks to lack of planning by the City of Jax and the County of Clay in allowing virtually unrestricted development without proper infrastructure.
