JD Diverter Kit or 3rd SCV

So during my travels on the interweb came across these 2 options for my 2720

Doesnt each option just give me an extra outlet that I can use for the rear hydraulic toplink. Of course price difference is the reasoning in asking :laughing:

Keeping in mind that I dont have a hydraulic mower lift kit to begin with

I have one rear remote, currently only used for a snow blower chute rotation...but I'm considering this:

What if I plumbed up a grapple to the diverter?

Maybe get this valve set? Gets you some valves to control several different functions without having to connect-disconnect all the time. :thumbsup:

An electric valve can be included with this and the controls would be on the loader joystick.

You don't want a manual diverter for that either! You'd want an electric one, or a true 3rd function.

That is a sweet hookup. Thats what I would like to get to eventually. I will give them a call to see what the cost is going to be. thanks

Had a nice chat with Brian and he steered me in the right direction and instead of cobbling a secondary set of hydraulics, will be biting the bullet and ordering the kit from Artillian

Maybe we are talking about a different item here... but my 4066R has the diverter valve for my top n tilt and it works perfect. I hit the switch and the fel joystick is not functioning the top n tilt kit... i flick the switch back and now its operating my fel again. Its the most ideal setup you could have for the top and tilt kit.

Yes, completely different setup on an older 2-series, plus it would be mechanical-not electric like yours.

Go with the third function for any purpose. I have a diverter for my grapple, and it's either/or. I can't curl or raise the bucket and operate the grapple at the same time, which tends to be a pain sometimes. Plus it's a lot simpler, you don't have that electric valve to malfunction.

The JD option 3rd SCV for his machine is a lever operated valve mounted on the ROPS post so he'd have to take his hand off of the joystick to open/close the grapple, a electric diverter is much better-and you can feather the grapple too-it's not ON/OFF like a true solenoid operated 3rd function would be.

You can plumb a 3rd SCV to the rear and then to the front. When you do, you also have a control value to operate it. This alone will operate your grapple. You don’t need a diverter for this purpose.
If this doesn’t make sense or you have further questions, ask. It’s fairly straightforward.

Thanks, that was the original plan with running longer hoses from the front grapple to the rear. May end up getting the 3rd scv later on, with the next stimulus..lol
