Customer wants more aggressive rear tires. She has Carlisle super turf on now. Does not want chains. Size is 20x10.00-8. Anyone find anything to replace those?

Fluid in tires and wheel weights then.

But sounds like you are trying to please someone that will not be pleased, regardless what you do.

I was hoping there was a knobby tire available like on the x500 I have. Can't seem to find that size and also clearance may be an issue between deck and tire.

If she needs more traction for climbing hills or pushing snow I doubt the k46 tranny will hold up much longer anyway. Just my thoughts that the tranny can't produce enough torque to handle more aggressive tires.

I know all to well about the k46', replaced a few and rebuilt a few. One rebuilt only lasted several years. Ironic that this one had a input shaft problem, so when I had it out I switched to synthetic oil. She has 520 hrs on it now! I think ill tell her nothing's available to replace what she has. In other words, go down, where you can't go up. Lol

I have an extra set of the All Trail-II still on wheels. I tried them on my F935 for more hill climbing traction. They are no better than the OEM JD Turf tires, but they do tear up the grass when turning tight corners pretty bad.

Put ag type tires on it. Then she'll roll it over.

This is a common tread pattern that I currently use, but mine are used take-offs from a local JD dealer. I believe tread compound and not just tread makes a difference. Hard plastic feeling 'rubber' in the tread doesn't get much traction. Weight still seems to be the best differentiator, as is pressure. Do a pressure sweep test using a drag.

Interesting reply. The tires she has does have a hard plastic feel to it. She even asked if the tires were plastic! Lol. So, do you think the eBay ones you linked would be better?

Up to you if you want to take a chance on different tires to please the lady. Likely won't happen and your reputation will slide a bit and you may end up with the new tires that don't work any better.
The tire diameter is still going to be small... and apparently wheel weights and fluid in the tires and/or ballast box are not solutions you are thinking. Wish you good luck.

This solved my flotation and traction problems very nicely.

I put the all trails on the back of my Gravely garden tractor and it has been excellent except for mud. Mud stops the all trails cold.
Interesting that the JD turf tires on my X750 have remarkably good traction
for more grip, at the cost of lawn wear, those lug tires may be the way to go.
