Kubota B7610
I need some guidance from those of you with experience pricing a JD compact tractor. Were the dealer's quotes comparable to the price suggested on the website in the "configure your tractor" mode? I am quite a distance from the nearest JD compact tractor dealer (the local dealer only sells lawn tractors) and when I configure a 4115 on the website, it is around $6k more than the Kubota B7610 (4wd, hydro, FEL, and BH). I wouldn't think that the dealer could come down very much from the suggested retail price as stated on the website.

What do you all think?

You can expect any where from 7-20% off the list on the web page depending on where you live, and what options and attachments you get. I would point out that the 4115 is a very different tractor than the 7610. Specifications get you started on the search, but you need to look at things up close and drive the tractors around to make your decision. The 4115 has many features the 7610 doesn't have, which you may or may not find worth the extra money.

BoneheadNW - Over the past week I have received 2 quotes from local southeastern CT JD dealers and they are approximately the same. The quotes I have in hand are for the 5025 series tractors with BH & FEL&cutter. The overall discount is approx. 14% with the tractor discounted heavier than the implements.

The configurator on Deere's site shows the 4120 we bought at $24,320 for the tractor alone. But at the dealer we only paid right around $20,000 for it. So you really can't go by that. Their prices on the web are more like 'sticker price' at car dealers. Or MSRP.

Stumbled across this site, don't know if it will help or not:

http://www.4turf.com/homepage.htm

Never been over there but a single item price vs my local dealer is comparable.

That is a good site. Wished all dealers would do something like this.

The tractor price on my JD 4010 was about 20-25% below what the web site said. Think the 410 loader and LX4 cutter were about the same as the web price.

Southern Vermont dealer:

10-12% off list for the tractor on the lot or special order
10-12% off list for parts and implements in stock
List Price for parts & implements he has to order.

JD's configurator will price everything out as MSRP prices. The configurator is good in that it helps provide some guidance on options you'll want with your compact tractor. To get REAL prices, you need to visit dealers. Visit as many as you can. Try to procure a 15-20% or more discount off MSRP prices and you'll be doing well.
