With the treadle pedal setup, the only way you can use differential braking is to use the cruise control. To me, with the treadle pedals, if you need to use differential braking and have to use the cruise, you may as well get a gear machine. The only HSTs that you can use differential braking effectively on are the dual pedals like the Deere's, CNH SCUTs and large chassis CUTs, and the FarmTrac 330 & 390. This is the main reason I'm not too fond of the treadle pedals. They might as well not even put differential brakes on a tractor if they are going to put them on the same side as the pedal.

Rat, most of the back dragging I do is with the wheels down. But I also do it with the front wheel to ground pressure to low to steer effectively. Also, when using my 4&1 bucket as a dozer blade, with down pressure is high, the most, if not only, way to steer is with differential braking.

want FACTS? tHE JD 2210 owners manual states the hydrostatic fluid capacity is 7.5 gallons. there it is in black and white. Can't believe everything you read. suffice to say I prefered the green one over the orange one.

Differential braking does wonders with a front snow blade as well. Its a feature I would have a hard time giving up now that I am used to it.
