My 2320 is in the locked differential mode and won't release. That is the lever is down and won't rise to indicate unlocked.
This is making it difficult to steer while plowing.
Any ideas?

First, try reversing...that'll unlock 'em. Hit the pedal with your foot while doing this (if it doesn't unlock on it's own).

If reversing doesn't work, the pedal (linkage) might be sticking or bound up (chunk of ice, maybe?). See if you can free it (hopefully, you can do this inside a building/garage).

Operating with the differential lock engaged continuously can result in damage to your differential, so don't put this off. You shouldn't be steering your tractor when it's locked.

HMMM...that's a new one. It should just pop back up when it's unloaded. Have you tried to pull the pedal back up while driving forward or backward?

I see no magic bullet in the parts diagram, hopefully you have the service manual CD or someone can check theirs for you.

It's supposed to just pop up when tension is removed from it (e.g. either stopping or going to reverse). Sounds as though it's stuck due to something causing friction on the release mechanism.

When examining my tractor with a bright light, I noticed that the interior of the left fender was dented preventing the free movement ot the differential lock lever. Further examination leads me to conclude that this tractor was involved with a tip-over/roll-over accident. Since it wasn't on my watch, the only suspects are the factory or the dealer/repair guy. Due to the rust on the flaked off paint in a couple places, I suspect the factory.

Same with my 755. The pedal just needed a little lube.

Rolled over at the factory? WOW, I seriously doubt that happened. Is your machine still under warranty?
