JD3039r vs Kubota L3560

Well I have an update... I went ahead and pulled the trigger and got the L3560... The financing is 1.99% x 84 months... I contacted my insurance agent for a better deal on the insurance... now that I have made the decision I am anxious to see my new machine. Thank you all for all of the input; it was greatly appreciated... I will post pics when I actually get hold of the L3560...

If you don't plan on taking tractor off your property (or self-insure when you do), your homeowners insurance may cover the tractor. Worth a check if you want to save a few $.

Yes I did know that. I am going to be hauling it between my two properties so it is a little tricky. I talked to my insurance agent and he is going to set me up with a separate item insurance policy that will cover everything from tractor slipping off trailer to locusts, plague, and zombie invasion and it is 1/2 the cost of the insurance quoted by the dealer for the same coverage.

Did you check about KTAC with your dealer?

Drive both; & simply go with the one you like the best. Let your gut decide. Things as simple as seating position, how you like or dislike the engine vibs & sound, how does it shift, and how the controls feel.

My situation, I was looking for a new (to me) lawn mower. I specifically wanted to get a diesel unit and found the JD 430

Found it, drove it, liked it fine....it was diesel and in about 35 seconds, said who do I pay???

Then I get it home and live with it a bit.... one thing I did NOT take into account was the hand controls verses foot control.

So you control forward/reverse with the hand via lever on dash. Simple enough however, I've got 50 years of FOOT habit ingrained into my reflexes so after having it a year, I'm STILL stabbing my left foot for the (non-existent) clutch pedal...I'm jerking myself forward/reverse at times as I need to change direction however, I'm usually mowing as fast as I can so I'm bouncing a bit in my seat which causes my arm to move which moves the lever and exaggerates my intended movement.

It's not really a "big deal" however had the same machine been there with foot controls I would have easily picked it over the hand control....might have even paid more for it.

As it is....I live with it and laugh at my antics on it (when I'm getting flailed about) as a casual observer of me would think I've never mowed a thing in my life

Good Evening All,
I am sure this thread has been beat to death but all the research I do online seems 50/50. I am ready to pull the trigger on a new tractor. I have looked at the JD3039r and the Kubota L3560. Both are being purchased with the FEL JD320/Kubota LA555 and 3rd function valve for a grapple. JD is 28500.00 with 0% financing for 84 months. Kubota is 29900.00 with 1.99% for 84 months. In the long run, the Kubota is going to cost $1517.71 in finance charges so the overall difference is going to be $2567.71 in the long run. I have looked at the specs and each has their own benefits, in my opinion almost like Ford vs. Chevy. I am leaning towards JD due to the $ difference in cost and finance charges. Appreciate all thoughts!! Thanks in advance......

I hope you are getting a cab for that price.
