Not that I know of that would effect the range lever.
Keep the shaft lubed where it goes into the case.
And most importantly, use finesse when changing ranges. Don't force it. And when you loan it to your father in law, make sure he understands this.![]()
And to reiterate...STOP when changing ranges.
You folks with reversers...you can shift the gears (on the fly), but you cannot shift ranges (which applies to both reversers and hydros).
