Thank you to all who responded to my question regarding my new 4310 and the engine lugging problem. I had a chance to take it to the dealer, and he indicated a "brake adjustment" had to be made. With internal wet disks I am not sure exactly what he meant, but my lugging problem is nearly resolved. My tractor still requires judicious use of pedal when climbing steep grades, but has a good bit more torque on my initial post-adjustment use. I, like most posters, am interested to see the new mid chassis tractors, but after having looked through a brochure from the John Deere Florida Product Meeting, it seems many of the changes are cosmetic. The engine numbers seem similar, as do the hydraulic numbers. I estimate 6-12 months for JD to refine the new models and correct any underlying problems, then perhaps I will look. Until then, I am quite pleased with my (improved) 4310.
