I have been humming it for a week now, only stopping when my wife's malevolent glare makes me hyperventilate too much. Maybe I need help.

Sorry to interrupt the musical fest.
Got my tractor back (2010 L3700su). Dealer made some adjustments to the existing valve. Lacking details though.
Videos of before and after with a empty boom pole. It is much improved, the only shakiness is when moving the lever painfully slow (in second pass of the after video), even then it is much more gentle.

Mine has always been more like your second video 'after'. It only jumps as it begins or finishes the movement. It was never as bad as your 'before'. It looks like you have have gotten some improvement but appears there is still a problem. I am able to work around the issue, but it just seems like I should not have to.
It is not that I dont believe that joker got his fixed, it just frustrates me that we dont know the repair method.

So no chance to get any more info.??? Like out how much work it was? or how long it took him. Really, any information would be good. Do you have a new gasket under your seat? or was it external adjustments? (I don't have photos of mine right now but will post it later.)
