I have a BX23. After cutting in a new driveway I now notice that the loader has a jerky movement when raising. Also when tilting the bucket back. It goes down and dumps bucket smooth. I have greased all the fittings with Moly-EP lithium grease. The Backhoe appears to work fine. Has anyone else had this problem? I was not sure if maybe there is a clog in hydraulic line...It lifts to full height just with a jerky motion. I have seen no hydraulic leaks.

Do you have your rpm high enough? Have you allowed time for the fluid to warm up? Just a couple of things I could think of that might cause this. Of course neither explains why you have not seen this with the BH. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Yes the RPM is high enough. Also this happens even after I have been running for over an hour. I will use the backhoe more tonight just to make sure I am not seeing the problem there. I used it for 4-5 minutes to test it. Can a filter somewhere be clogged causing this? Or is it possable the loader was damaged/bent while scraping dirt? If this happened though I would think that it would be jerky going down to.

Is the 3PH lever centered?
Have you tried disconnecting and reconnecting the hydraulic lines to the loader?

My dump cylce still jerks to this day, hot or cold. BH works fine, and so does everything else. The leaky cylinder is fixed now, it was the fitting that needed some sealant tape. I've yet to figure out the problem.

I had the same problem with a jerky dump and I fixed it by using Kubota Super UDT oil.
When it came time for my 300 hr service (B7500) my dealer convinced me to use a different oil that he swears by. He would have to order the Kubota S-UDT so I used what he suggested. Big mistake!! I noticed a jerking in my bucket motion and I assumed it was the recently changed Hyd oil since it worked fine before the change. Well, I got ahold of the S-UDT and changed it with new filters. It worked. Smooth operation again. I won't do that again.....S-UDT for my baby from now on, regardless of the cost!!
