One more quick question on this subject. While this fix was a success, could this "gages dead" problem have been caused in any way by the ignition switch?
The reason I ask is because I could have sworn that one time jiggling the key in the switch brought the gages back. It is the original equipment.
Just for my education: Can the switch deliver power to the ammeter, and the lights, but NOT to the gages?
