I have that same setup. While theres nothing on the top of the hydro box, there is a banjo fitting on the R side which is attached to a flange with 4 bolts on it. I have a friend here who will post some pics. But who is to know if the setup is the same behind that flange.

Looks like it would be behind the 4 bolt plate on the side

Hey TSmart,

Looks like you have a 224 with new factory updates.

Can you post some more pictures so we can get a view at the latest edition?

Have a nice day,

I got you PM, but it looks like this is a completely different setup. We'd definitely like some more shots. My guess is it's behine the 4 bolt flange and thus a return line filter rather than a suction side setup. Or an inline filter somewhere? The side plate setup would make for easy flushing that's for sure.
Where's the suction line come out of the pump that goes to the pump? Also, looks like you have a remote hyd. pressure coupling there on the back. Is there a return to take coupling also? Cool! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just staring at the photos some more. Got it figured out. They moved the suction line from the top to the place where the 3 point lever used to be. Where's your 3 point lift control lever? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Looks like the return to tank line is in the same spot.

Rick, my 284 LE has the same remote on the back. It's only an outlet with no return, used only to move a cylinder one way. You would need a valve that would return in the off position to use it.

Hey Bill,

I also have that remote on the rear of my 224. Everytime, I'm at the back of the tractor, I keep wondering what can I use this hydraulic coupleing for. I would like to replace the top link, with a hydraulic cylinder. But if that is not possible, then I am wondering what I can use it for.

Got any ideas?

Have a nice day,

Joe, it would work for a hydraulic top link to raise, then gravity to "down" the valve you use would need to be return when lowered with hold in the middle. It would work exactly like your 3PH.
