Tractor is luchring & jumpimg in f & r in all gears. Seems it would be impossible both potentiometets could go bad at one time

Does if have a flywheel sensor?

Not all do but when my then $50 sensor went out first thought was transmission or pedal problems.

Your potentiometer is a manually adjustable variable resistor with 3 terminals. Two of the terminals are connected to the opposite ends of a resistive element, and the third terminal connects to a sliding contact, called a wiper, moving over the resistive element

Spraying your pots with Deoxit F-series can help with the dirt issue.

Im not to mechaically savy although i was in construction & also electrinc yeck with 1st class fcc licencse. Hiwever ehen it comes to equipment troubleshooting im too old to crawl around under macnines anymore to try to find test points & get at the stuff u have to check i posted another post if u see it let ne know. Thanks for ur help & any mor ideas. Its at the repair shop now but im concerned. Ck my latest post & let me know what u think
