Comparison John Deere 1025R or Kubota B2301/2601

I ended up getting the B2601 with block heater, ballast box, rear led rops lights. Attachments are FEL with 60" bucket, 60" MMM, and the 64" rear blower with manual rotation. All in was $25,000 plus tax. Hope this helps you out with your pricing in NB.

It does help a lot. Thanks Panger! I am looking at the 2650 with FEL, 60" bucket, PHD and a 60" tiller. I still have to check into Deere but that will have to wait a couple weeks and I think I have pretty much decided to go with the Kubota. I figure I should make sure I consider all my options. Have a 10 day stretch coming at work and take possession of our 50 acres on day 3 so will be moving when time allows then getting the animals/family settled in the barn and house. Hopefully will have something figured out in the next month or so. Thanks again! Not that it needs to be said but enjoy your ride!

If you do any work in rough or very grown up (with veg) terrain, the B is a better choice over the BX.

I'm looking at either the B2301 or JD2025 to replace my troublesome JD1025. The B2301 appears to be about $2k less, but I don't have a firm price for what they'll give me for my JD1025 yet.

The loader removal is so easy on the JD2025 but is needed because maintenance is compromised by the design of the hood system on it.

Maintenance on B2301 without the loader appears stars better, but I've got to see it with the loader in place. The loader was still in a crate.

I just got through looking at the B2301 this morning and the JD2025 this afternoon, to replace my JD1025.

Both the Kubota B and JD2025 are much more civilized machines than the JD1025 because of the hugely high idle speed and vibration on the JD1025. It isn't easy to change the idle speed either. I managed to get it down to 1450 instead of the 1650 spec. Was very easy on my JD4010, which is a previous variant of the JD 2 series.

First impression of the Kubota B is that it seems more like a toy compared to the JDs, but I think the impression is mostly one of simplicity. The Kubota layout/access is just cleaner and more straight forward. The other part of this is that they didn't have the FEL on the Kubota B yet. I'll ask them to mount it and take another look.

I looked at the Kubota B3350 and the John Deere 2032R. The B definitely didn't seem like a toy to me. It came down to a coin toss as to which to buy. I liked both dealers, with a slight edge to Deere. That and the Kubota treadle pedal tipped the scales toward green.
