UFO,
It all depends on what you do,put a three point hitch attchment on your 210/310,its not gonna happen, this machine fits a niche, its a compact tlb that does "more" than a full sized one,as far as potential, from a landscaping point of view it has tons, and right now this machine seems like it'll do everything I need it to,what I was really looking for was something in the 210 size, but the brainiacs at Deere didn't put a pto on it and there is no hoe available for it so I went this route, and yes I wouldn't want to go from a 310 to a 110 either, but thats not compring apples to apples.

Tags. Does your tractor have the valves to operate the 4n1? I'm glad to here you finally have your machine. I don't need mind as desperately as you did. Besides, I got my International running. I can use that if I have to do some digging. I noticed I became a Bronze Member stictly by posting on this thread. Talk about being a one trick pony.

Joe,
Yes it does have the valving for the 4n1 bucket. As far as options on my machine,it came through with all the ones I ordered,I got all the hydraulic options that were available, subposedly the 4n1 buckets are being produced now and I should have it and the 2' hoe bucket some time this month, but we know how that goes......I know its hard waiting for it,but today was the first time I ran mine all day,and boy howdy she is a great piece of equipment, the tranny is silky smooth, the loader is very responsive, has plenty of power, and the bucket is easy to see all the time and the level indicator is easy to see so you know exactly what position the bucket is,but, not being a huge back-hoe guy the hoe on this little hog runs like a dream,it performs just like Deer's full size hoes, smooth as butter,no jerkiness no matter how many functions you combine, and it has plenty of power in every function, the handiest thing of all though is definetly the reposition switch, being able to move the machine without performing acrobatics from the hoe position makes it that much better to run,so basically what I'm saying is,its definitely worth the wait, hang in there, you'll be happy you did just as I am now. This isn't a bad thing but,I was running it hard today, about 2500 rpm and did notice a huge amount of heat around me,which is to be expected since the thing is completely hydaulically driven, the hyd gauge read just below the middle, which is well in its safe range, and it occoured to me that in the future if someone decided to install a cab on one of these it would all most be intolerable in the summer without a real good fan in there, just thought I'd mention this, and if Rat is reading this maybe he could let me know if his L48 throws off heat also.

If you get your tires filled, I hope you have them put tubes in and fill those instead. I never had any problems that way. Up here they use calcium but that seems to be a regional thing. I'm going to wait to see how mine operates before I decide. It's Friday and the salesman called me to inform me that my tractor is on it's way up. Looks like the truck has multiple drop offs before it gets to Maine. So were guessing sometime next week. I'll just have to wait and see if this is indeed the real story.

This is just a heads up for anybody buying, have bought,or waiting for their 110 to arrive.....if you get the skid plate, which if you don't you are taking a huge risk of smashing all the hydraulics that run the machine, and I do mean all,my dealer wanted to charge me 4 hrs labor to install it @ $85 per hour,I told him to just send it loose w/the machine ,I installed it on Thursday by myself in an hour,if you are even the tiniest bit mechanically inclined install it yourself and save some bucks,it comes w/good detailed instructions also.I also got the stabilizer gaurds, also very simple to install, about 15 min.I removed the hoe on the beast today to see what that would be like and it was a snap, about 2 min,and its off from the seat, same deal putting it back on,just try to remove it it in a fairly level spot or I would imagine it wouldn't go on as smoothly.Just wanted to put this info out there, its been raining here for the last 2 days so not much work gettin done outside just alot of fiddlin' w/the new toy.

Thanks for the info. My dealer was told the skid plate was not available until fall. I was pretty sure you had yours. JD sure sucks at filtering info to dealers. I'll order mine after I get it home. Maybe even next week. That's maybe. How much were the guards? I can't get a visual on how they function or look like.

Joe,
Your dealer is wrong, plain and simple, the skid plate and the stabilizer gaurds arrived in April sometime, about 2 months before the machine arrived, press him to order it now,it is the most important option that can be put on the machine,it wouldn't take much more than a large stick to get pushed up there to fuss up alot of hydraulics. The skid plate is just that,it is as wide as the frame rails of the machine and it goes from about where the loader pillars are to where the hoe pins on and it is perfectly flat and very substantial, the stabilizer gaurds cover the exposed part of the cylinders when they are in the lowered position, stopping a rolling rock from potentially smashing the rod,as far as the skid plate goes Deere should offer it as standard equipment.the skid plate cost me $410 and the stabilizer gaurds cost $120.I really hope you do get yours this week I really think you'll be happy, even though it's been hell watin' for it.

Can you tell me how much the stabilizers were and how well they cover the cylinders? How do they attach? The skid plate is called what? Is it a kit? The dealer is not able to locate it. Does it have a parts number. What does it bolt up to? Does it cover the transmission filter and hydralic filter? How much was the skid plate with out me going back and looking was it 430.00? If you don't mind. Thanks Bushy Tags forget the prices. I see them.

Bushy,
Glad to see you finally got off your 110 to grace us with your presence /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gifThe stabilizer gaurds cover the cylenders 100% when they are down on the top and front side(hoe side).Attachment is simple, pull the pin that holds the pads on and slip the gaurd over the bushing that the pin slides through, reinstall the pin and you're golden,to do both sides took me about 15min.Okay,the skid plate or "severe service plate" does cover the filters but has an access plate to get to them,it comes with all the hardware and easy to read instructions,it consists of the plate, two brackets that bolt to existing tapped holes, and the bolts and pan head allen bolts to hold everything together. Now,I know on the JD configurator for the 110 at the very bottom of the page it mentions both these items, they are not made by Deere, but are offered by Deere,I will try to get part #'s for you tomorrow off of the packaging mine came in or off the directions.I am planning on borrowing my buddies digital camera in the next day or so,I'll take some pics of this stuff for ya and post em',hope all is well with your 110,everytime I sit on mine I find something else to like about it a little more, happy diggin'!

Tags,

I haven’t been participating in this post but have followed as the frustration level grew. Just wanted to say that I am glad you finally have most of what you ordered. Hope you will share your experiences with the 110 as you get more seat time on it. Sure looks like a great machine.

I agree that JD has done themselves more harm than good by selling and not being able to provide the equipment. The 110 is going to sell to pro users more than to homeowners and you just don’t do your pro buyers wrong if you want them back.

Sure hope your problems are over and congratulations on the new tractor.
