Bushy,
I did get some news yesterday, the salesman called and said the machine had been released Monday night and was on its way from North Carolina????He said thats where they are assembled, news to me,so I asked him if it was actually on a vehicle that was heading away from the factory and towards Connecticut and he said that he had double checked with them and it is on its way................subposedly,we know the history here.I've wanted to back out several times but what would that have gotten me,the bottom line is,I wanted this thing since I saw it and I just hope its worth the wait like I think it will be.

I have been following this discussion for a while, but have not seen much mentioned on the intended use you and other buyers have for your new 110s. ie Business use vs. use around your property or ....? It seems like the 110 is sized like one of the larger compact utility tractors. Is a comparably equipped 4610 or 4710 in the same league?
The property I live on is not large, but there are plenty of trees to be felled and stumps to be pulled. The JD 8A backhoe attachment I have does fine on small trees, but chewing away on larger trees (10-16") can be agonizing and unsuccessful. Other discussions in this forum describe alternative ways to uproot stumps, but I think a good backhoe is probably the most reliable method. Do you think the 110 will do a good job as a stumper?
Here in Oklahoma, green JDs are sold in different stores than yellow JDs. The only (local) yellow JD stores I can find are branch stores of CL Boyd. Do you (or any of you TBNers) know of any South Central US vendors you would recommend to contact for some comparison shopping?
Thanks, for your input.

OkieG,
The 110 is loosely based on a 4600,I say loosely because about the only thing that is the same on the two is the floormat. The 110 is designed and sold as a compact Tractor, Loader, Backhoe (tlb),which means that it is made with the loader and hoe integrated into the frame work of the machine,as opposed to the Greenies that have loaders and hoes as options that can be added later which results in a good setup for light to medium work loads. The 110 has higher lift capacities and higher breakout forces than the green equivilants, and is generally all around heavier, the one thing to consider though, you can completely remove the loader from the green ones, and some also accept mid mount mowers, the 110 can do niether of these things, but for serious digging and loader work I'd look at a 110 or a Kubota L48.I'll be using mine (someday)for a landscape and excavating business, and as far as a dealer, the ones carrying the green machines are also carrying the 110.As far as a good stumper, yes it would be good as long as you don't expect to pull 3 foot oak stumps in 5 minutes or less, and if you are going to do lots of stumping I would suggest getting a ripper tooth for the hoe, hope this helps and happy hunting!!

Good news. Dealer called and said my tractor will be in by Labor Day. This sounds reasonable to me. Of course I made this up. But why not? They make things up just to shut us up. You know just go away we got other more important things to do than listen to customers wining about their toy ,uh tractor not being delivered on time. These tractors are assembled in Augusta, Georgia. Salepeople just make things up as they go along. It's just another day for them.

Joe,
The dealer hasn't gotten you any info at all ????!!!!!I would start to become the guy who calls the dealer everyday until I got some info,my salesman keeps me posted on all the bad news....uhhh...I meant to say news,he has called me at least 2-3 times a week since I ordered the thing, and has taken quite a bit of verbal bashing from me,but I all ways remind him that I'm not yelling at him, just yelling about JD's shipping/delivery schedule and how ridiculous it is.He actually called today with some semi-good news (and Joe,I'm not tryin to rub it in) the Phantom is en-route and as of 5pm was in Delaware and is expected at the dealer tomorrow morning, but I'm sure the truck will get in a hellatious accident whille exiting the highway right in front of the dealer causing the Phantom to flip a dozen or so times only coming to a twisted yellow halt in front of another on coming semi that will finish the job.........or maybe, just maybe it will make it to the dealer and (as per my salesmans promise) I will have it for the weekend....stranger things have happened. You should definitely apply severe pressure on your dealer for info,he should be doing all he can for an answer.

P.S. I checked,Iplaced the order for my machine on the 15th of March, when didi you order yours??

Tags I placed my order about a week after you did. The salesman did call Monday to tell me he had received confirmation that my tractor was built. He had no news as to when it would be shipped. I knew you had ordered yours ealier than me, but I was not sure how much earlier. Well I hope you get yours for the weekend. Maybe I"ll see mine next week. One can only wish. I think what screwed up the deliveries are dealers that ordered unsold units, which are now sitting on their lots. I bet they don't tell the people who buy those rigs about the bad hydrauylic pumps. Caveat Emptor to them.

So are all you guys at TBN in on it?C'mon you can tell me,haha its been a hoot,we all got a good laugh outta it,so wadda you guys say ya just gimme my tractor........please.......what a gag, haven't laughed this hard in a while...........Well as you can guess no Phantom today,is Rat drivin' the truck that is deliverin my machine....just curious.I'm begining to think that JD is a joke.....a bad one, apparently the truck is STILL in Maryland, when my salesman called to tell me this today I completely lost it,how could this be I said, and his response was that they lied to him, this was followed by ALOT of cursing by me,the salesman said it would be here tomorrow......when the dealer is closed, which was followed by me just hanging up the phone, and thats how my day ended,no more talking till my machine is ready to be brought to me from the dealer, this is REALLY getting ridiculous!!!

Here it is after midnight. Just got in from helping at high school project graduation so I tell wife I have to know if Tags has gotten his machine. Nope he didn't which means mine is even further away probably heading South instead of North.
Sorry Tags.
