I took the mid-mount mower off my 2305, attached a 1-bottom moldboard plow to the 3-point-hitch, and plowed my garden for the first time with this machine. I took the plow off and re-attached the mower with no problems. But now when I raise the lift, only the rear arms rise. The mower doesn't move. As far as I know, there is no selector lever for selecting between the mid-mount lift and the rear lift. I feel like I'm missing something simple. Any of you 2305 owners know what it is?

this will likely get moved to the JD section but....

On my NH the belly mower is lifted by the rear arms. there is some linkage that connects to the rear arms so that the 3 point also lifts the belly mower, no addtional/seperate lift for the belly mower.

Schmism is correct - the linkage from the rear arm is on the left side of the machine underneath. Follow the left MMM lift arm towards the rear PTO and you should it. You can also look on the left lift arm of the rear assembly and see where the linkage attaches. You probably lost a pin that helped hold things on...

Did you put the draw bar back in place after removing the plow. On my Deere 2210 you must have the draw bar in place for the mover deck lift to work.

Oh yeah... The linkage for the MMM lift has an angled bracket that catches on the left rear lift arm - its not pinned in place. If the lift arm is too far inside, the bracket won't catch...

That happened to me too. They forgot to give me the spacer bar for the arms when I got the tractor. The Imatch solves that now though.

PROBLEM SOLVED

After reading the suggestion that I had lost a pin, I went and checked for that last night---and found what two of you guys suggested. The lift arm wasn't catching the bracket because I had not put the spacer bar back on. I was right about one thing: I was missing something simple. A little mechanical tracing sure goes a long way.

Thanks to all of you.
