The other day I sent an email to JD about the three point hitch problem with the 2520. Today I received this reply.

Dear Tim:

We have a "fix" in the testing phase. Please keep in contact with your John Deere Dealer. I expect an update in the May/June 2008 time frame.

Regards,
Laurie

I hope this is good news that won't cost much if anything.

Be sure to save that email or whatever it was so that later you wont hear, "what problem, we havent heard of any problems".

Glad to hear that John Deere treats you that way. When I wrote kubota... never got a response or acknowledgement. :(

Actually, what we usually get is, "Talk to your dealer".

So, I'm really impressed with this answer.

What problem is it?

Glad to see that -

I was at my dealer the other day (spending another $8K:confused:) and asked if heard anything about the 2520 3PH problems.

All I got from him was "what problem"?

"... All I got from him was "what problem"?..." I truely think the dealers are told to do this... deny, deny, deny... (regardless of tractor color). Also, it's never a warranty issue... it's a product improvement bulletin (or what ever JD calls them).

Some people have issues with the 2520's 3PH arms rubbing the tires with some equipment. Personally I've always been able to get the turnbuckles adjusted to work fine, but I also only have a limited set of new implements - mostly from JD/Frontier. I think the fix is a new set of arms with a different set of bends so they're more narrow for a longer period. I just hope they're not much longer because that could impact the total lift capacity.
