Havent done much on this in a while, got a decal kit ordered, and within the next week and a half, I will get my rims and deck sandblasted! I might have to do it myself, but it'll be worth it.

The decal kit was not ordered, just asked when and if they could get one, so I found out today. I have since been sandblasting, welding, grinding, and all that good stuff. I still have to blast the deck, then I am pretty much done with blasting. Havent done much with the tractor, but I took the tag off the deck today. Heres some pics!

In the meantime, I had already straightened out the mule drive cover, as it was badly damaged. I then got all of my parts that i could paint black, like the mule drive, blade spindles, gage wheels, etc. and painted them. After i had the deck stripped down, I started to sand it down to a nice smooth surface. I did this about twice on each side. Once all of the black pieces dried, I put them aside for when i put the deck together for mock up later on. I also put the mule drive together and mounted it on the tractor. After all this, I was about ready for yellow paint! so I dismounted the rear rims, and saw that the rear tires had tubes, that were 23x8.50's! 1 rim was much dirtier on the inside than the other. The date on them is 2-79. I got the front tires taped up, and the next day my dad helped me make a rack outside to hang everything on. I used a 1 1/4? steel rod between 2 ladders as the rack. So I ended up putting all 4 rims and the deck covers on it and they were ready to go. After a few coats the front rims were done and i removed the tape after letting them dry for 30 mins. Which they were still tacky. The next day my grandfather finished the dust caps, center deck spindle, and the rear rims and deck covers. Thats about enough info for this post so I will make another. My new dilemma is now with the restoration series paint. It seems that tractor supply is "phasing out" the Valspar Resto series paint with their own "Majic" line or something like that. I realize these pictures are kinda old, but these are off of my digital camera instead of my ipod.
