Will I still have to drain the transmission of it's 10 gallon of oil is the question. I've not getting a good seal on the mentioned filter, the new flat rubber gasket(oem part R34733) is slightly bigger and the old one has a better fit. I'll have a drip every 20 seconds or so. The O-rings were changed.

One doesn't have to drain hyd oil on the AG version to change hyd filter
Ok, reseated the filter using the new flat gasket as the other one was pinched. Lot of play in the new one but managed to get it on after countless of time trying to avoid another pinch :smiley_aafz: No more leaks :thumbsup: PS bypassed and still no function on the loader :thumbdown:
There's no relief valve on the vertical filter so I will remove the valve on the pressure control valve when time becomes available. Where do I put the pressure gauge on the hydraulic pump?

For the filter cover, did you install the packing (square "O ring") in the transmission case or on the filter housing?
I had my first ever "fail" too, I pinched the packing on install, massive leak. It took two more installs to get it right.
It wouldn't stay on the transmission case so I put it on the filter housing and slowly poked the gasket inside the case as I tighten it up(time consuming). I too had a massive leak because of a pinched gasket which I wasn't aware of:banghead:
Finally got the pressure gauge on via PS line and only have around 300 psi. I will check the flow from the transmission pump next, with time slots in my schedule. Can I remove the pressure control valve without 10 gallons seeking ground? Is it only the drain plugs which will pour out the contents of the sump or is there others I should be aware of?
I didn't test the flow from the transmission pump as time was against me as Fall as arrived and will be cold soon. How does the pressure relief valve come out? You would figure it to be somewhat under spring pressure as the cap is tightened but it's not the case here! Can it be seized in the housing?
