Any chance there is another model like yours at a dealer around there? Maybe you could get them to show you if that one would do the same as yours?

Do a YouTube search of a 4066r / 4044r. I found a couple demonstrating the capabilities of the loader. They lifted the front end easily.

I agree with this point for sure. In fact I think my speech to the dealer would be..."This one works- Feb delivery and its November and still not fixed? How about Mr. dealer you call Deere and arrange an exchange-let Deere fix it on their time".

Loyal Deere guy (ever since Ford sold out) but the quality problems seem to be growing. Friend of mine in VT had so many issues with his 5065 (5085?) he traded in on a new NH.

Maybe this is a legitimate problem and Deere has not figured out a fix yet. I have yet to see a 40xxR at a dealer. I look every week on here for post in the Deere section. These tractors are not getting much attention on here. I bought a new 2520 when they first came out. Had issues with the 62d mower wheels. Deere fixed it, but It took them a while to make the change. I really like my 3320 but want something a little bigger. I keep looking at the LS, but have not tested one yet. I hate to give up on JD, but they are expensive and I'm scared to price one, and sure would like to know more about how the new models are performing. Good Luck with your problems. JC

This is why I went orange. This is not the only ongoing issue John Deere has been having year after year on their compacts. I see them giving them new model names and decals, but seems like the same problems always persist. And I see people having to fight to get something done.

To me John Deers's seem like a Ford Powerstroke....some are good, most are nightmares. Roll the dice.

John Deere dealer and John Deere North America couldn't fix a problem with my 5093. They said they were working on it and split the tractor twice. They kept putting it of and then one day John Deere North America just said, "Sorry, you are out of warranty. We won't do anything else for you now unless you want to buy another one"

Lesson learned, don't let them put you off or screw you around. I traded it for a MF, very happy with it and it's WAY more tractor then a similar priced Deere.

Seems if the problem was discovered during warranty, but not fixed, Deere would be obligated to fix it no matter how long it took.

I'm sure Deere legal defined the warranty duration very carefully in size 6 font.

Between the 2210/ 2305 transmission failures and other Deere issues, it's becoming harder and harder to stay loyal.

That's what I thought, and they did split it once after the warranty ran out but then they said they couldn't find the problem and weren't going to touch it again. John Deere said the same thing.

Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to give you all an update. I received a call today letting me know there has been a new valve designed to replace the "One that performs to specs" and my dealer will be installing it the week of Thanksgiving. Apparently I take a back seat to Hunting Season here in VT. I for sure will let you all know the results. It's odd that since this post and a few other truthful/informative messages the issue has been dealt with and hopefully resolved. Thanks again for all your replies.
