If I swap the hoses the bucket tils but then the lift does not work,

When it "doesn't work" -- What happens? Do the hydraulics load up and lug the engine down? Is there absolutely NO movement at all from the cylinders connected to that valve spool? No hose flex or sounds of any kind? Give us something to work with here.

I would suspect a faulty quick disconnect but like Harry states need a little more information.

Bucket goes up and down, but will not tilt. WHen I switch then hoses the bucket tilts but will not raise and lower, When I move the joy stick I can see the hoses flex and I hean a moan from the system. I replaced 2 of the quick couplers and no change. tractor runs fine, when I have the disconnects out, I can use the joystick to see the valve move back and forth in the control block. It acts like there is a block. This happened when I was piling up brush, I lowered the bucket, pushed some brush and it would not move after that, raises and lowers fine. Hope this helps!

I agree it "acts like there's a block". MOST likely one of the quick couplers in my opinion. Since they're most likely all the same, I would trade places with one pair at a time (between the tilt spool and the lift spool) an see what affect that has on the situation.

Watch the hoses closely when movement stops. If both hoses to curl & dump stiffen the problem is in return side of circuit. I.e. if won’t dump then on rod side quick disconnect. Either half can fail on quick disconnects.

I put in my post that I had traded the hoses and what happened. THen bucket tilts, but then it wont raise and lower

How do I fix it?

I saw the point about switching hoses. What I suggested was actually removing and switching some of the couplers. You know that switching functions between valve spools makes a difference. Changing the couplers but keeping the hoses in the same order should tell you something.

I have switched couplers and replaced two of them, switching couplers did not change anything. All the hoses have fluid in them when I push the release fluid runs out. As near as I can tell, the problem is in the return system. I loosened the connections to the control valve and they all have fluid in them. Any other Ideas?
