John Deere 5425 Fuel System Problems - Anyone Have Any???

Actually I have installed a couple of the electric pumps and that has cured the problem and makes bleeding the filter so much easier. Actually, I install a strainer filter in-line close to the tank, then the electric pump, and then a check valve also. The problem is worse on cab tractors and high platform models. The tank is lower than on the straddle mount models. Good Luck!

You are spot on with your solution. I had a JD Tech do the same thing to my 5420 when it was only 6 months old and no problems since.

I have a 5425 john deere it will pull down on power and speed back up with a baler behind it changed filter three times feels like it is losing fuel an ideals

I have run a piece of PEX tubing in a part the fuel line on my diesels. Lets me see if there is air in feed line. I would consider a porous rubber line like mentioned. It has happened to me.
