which transmission are you looking for? SyncShuttle or PowerReverser? this dictates price difference by several thousand. check out trantorhouse.com or machinefinder.com. lots of good used tractors on there! you can also contact the seller through these sites and begin negotiations, ask questions, etc.

yeah i'll admit the prices do seem high but thats not always th selling price. its like a car. shoot them your number youre willing to buy and either they will take it or not or work with you. yeah the power reverser can be had without a cab.

I think you are looking at low $30Ks for that tractor. I think the big jump in price of the 50X5M series pulled up the used prices of the 5X25 series. I was looking for a 5425 or 5525 too and ended up buying a 6000 series, since I could buy it for less, not 1200 hours, but in the 2500 hour range. I turned out to be a LOT more tractor for less $$$$s

What exactly did u get

2006 JD 6415, open station, Power Quad, Left hand reverser, MFWD, two rear SCVs, two mid Joystick controled valves, front fenders, front weight, 540/1000 PTO, telescoping lower 3pt arms, radial R1W tires and a JD 640 SL loader. 2500 hours, under $30K delivered and delivery was over $1000. I would have been happy to have bought a 6215 for the same money, since the extra HP was not an issue.

If I were you I would get the 5095M or the 5101E. The 5095M is loader ready with 3rd remote. You could spend about 5000+ on a loader or find a lightly used one for a cheaper price. The 5095M is lightly used. 5101 has a cab, more power but not as deluxe and all the bells and whistles you expect in a 5M series but you will be warm in the cold and cool in the hot sun.
