The relay in your photo needs to have a ""good ground connection to frame to operate correctly on one small terminal"" & 12 volts from ign switch on other small terminal when ign switch is moved to start position. The larger posts on that relay provide 12 volts to "S terminal on starter solenoid" when ign switch is in start position..
