john deere 6420 icv interlock switch,icv not functioning

I understand the concern of safety but this will only be temporary and i'm the only person that operates this tractor.Now the loader is completely disable and will not move no matter what and that is the main reason i want to try a toggle switch but i wasn't really sure if that would work or not.

I took the joystick off but how do I get the knob off the joystick so I can get to the switch,also if I get the switch out I will just match it up to another one and not try the toggle switch idea.

Down near the bottom of the knob is the epoxy covered screw. Just take a small drill bit and drill through the epoxy to access the allen screw. After the screw is removed, the knob slides off the shaft. I wish I had taken pictures of the ones I have done to show you.
