Yes that is the question in a nut shell. I hope the folks at JD get to the bottom of these issues and makes every customer whole.

I think problems with this cold start sensor has gone on for way too many years also. RE503242

Re: John Deere "E" Series Hydraulic Systems Failures Overheating, Stuck Valves, etc

I haven't test drove it, but I do like the design except for......loud, I wish it had 4 cylinders instead of 3.

That's probably one of my bigger "cons" on it, too. Whenever I fire up my father in law's MX5100 with 4cyl, it's just so quiet and smooth.

Then again, the loooong reliability of that 3cyl comforts me more than if it were a little quieter. And after all, she's a tractor... she's gonna make a little noise! :D

In regards to this problem. My Kubota was the same way when I got it.

please tell us more about your kub, your help/knowledge and ownership of kubs will greatly help the jd owners tremendously.

Tractors are tractors and many use similar systems, regardless of the brand. The 5E series does use an external feedback rod on the 3pt hitch just like overszd mentioned and his advice was sound. Unfortunately I already checked and adjusted that to no avail, the problem is internal.

I grew up on Deere tractors and still like them very much, but there are other good brands out there too. We have 4 Deere tractors and lots of Deere hay equipment on the farm, as well as 4 Kubota tractors, an IH and a Ford. I will say that the JD 2550 we have has been one of the best tractors we've ever owned, JD really had something back then with the 50 and 55 series.

Sir, with all due respect. Are you over your childish temper tantrum of the other day??

If you read my previous post and look at the picture I think you'll be able to understand the problem and the fix.

LOL... seriously. I think it's time to call it quits here, sir. ovrszd is a respected, friendly member of these here forums, and judging by his join date and post count, undoubtedly NOT a troll.

I, as well as many on this thread appreciate his insight, and his experiences as a Kubota user. As mentioned above, tractors are tractors and different colored ones still have similar functionality.

But seriously... please give it a rest. Thanks.
