all things being equal, I think the 2" receiver has way less wiggle in it if you are using something like a rack.

OK I have spoken with the Kubota dealer and am looking at the 900 next week.

Thank you for the suggestion!

The thing that sealed the deal for us was the 0% financing that they have now; I think Polaris and 1.9 or 2.9%; I couldnt bring myself to purchase the Kubota roof or windshield. They charge quite a premium for those. Have been looking at windshields and might just try to fabricate one from a 3x4 foot piece of Lexan from Lowe's for $60 (cheapest prefab one I could find was $259). There are some nice diamondtread aluminum roofs from diamondback.com but they don't give those away either. Good luck w your shopping.

I ordered the glass windshield w/ wiper and the poly top with my 855D. Sure made a difference blocking the wind.

SO I test drove the Kubota 900 and the John Deeres-HPX, 625 and 825

I am SO torn between the Kubota and the 825. I really like both of them.

The 0% for 60 months on the Kubota really has me leaning that way.

Help me make a decision!!!

Your first post was that you wanted power. You mentioned that you want to use implements. A seeder and a spreader I think. You should ask yourself, "what is it that I want to use this thing for?" If you look on-line, you see interesting videos of UTVs splashing through mud, how fast they can go, etc. If you are looking for a UTV that thinks it is a tractor, then get a Kubota RTV 900, 1100 or 1140. Look at UTV Hitchworks - Home of the Farm Boy for a class 1 3-point hitch that will make your Kubota RTV act like a tractor without a PTO. Once you have one of these big things, you will find that your friends will want to go for rides with you. Having 2 bucket seats will be a problem. You can only take two people, with a skinny uncomfortable person sitting on the hump in between you and the other person in the passenger seat. I like the looks of the JD 500 (or something like that) that has the front and back seat that can take 4 people out for exploring your property. I like the hydraulic lift that is standard on the Kubota. Recall that I just bought a Kubota 1140, so I have a bias. That being said, we just had it up to our property for it's maiden voyage, and I wasn't disappointed. We have an older Polaris Ranger 6x6 with only a 500cc engine. For big hills, you have to floor it, and it will go up them. This Kubota, in low 4WD, would just pleasantly go up them like it was on flat land. It is more like you are driving a tractor with good suspension. I don't mind the fact that the hydrostatic transmission provides resistance when you let up on the gas. That is nice when you are going downhill while carrying a load. Top speed of 25 mph on dirt road or in a field is a plenty. Any faster and if you hit a big ditch that you didn't see you will tear up your suspension. I would have preferred to get an American made JD product. I didn't see that they had a 4 seater prior to making my purchase or I would have checked that out. If you want a UTV that thinks it's a tractor, get the Kubota. If you want a UTV that thinks its a sports car, get the JD

Well that helps!

I have a sports car so I guess I need a UTV that thinks it is a tractor!

Besides HOW can you say no to 0% 60 months financing???

By the way, how much does the UTV hitchworks cost for a Kubota?

OR can anyone suggest a good electric cargo spreader for seed/fertilizer?

Although I have not required much need for the RTV 900 hydraulic daump bed, I highly recommend purchasing this option. There will like be opportunities to daump the contents. Doing so with muscle power only will be a challenge. The hydraulic dump is standard on the worksite and utility model. Do not purchase the worksite if you desire to used the hydralics for non-repetative use. The utility version is the correct choice for repetative hydraulics use since it has alloy hydraulic reservoir.

Does the gator come with standard power steering? The RTV is standard hydraulic power steering, not electric. You will like the power steering.
