John Deere HPX 4x4 or XUV for power

the UTVhitchworks Farmboy is only for a Kubota, I believe, as it needs the on board hydraulics to work. I seem to recall it was in the neighborhood of $1,695.00. I had emailed them when I was shopping for a UTV and the owner was very prompt in his reply. I told him I was shopping either for a Kubota RTV 1140, Polaris Ranger Crew or Kawasaki Trans Diesel. He told me that it currently is only available for the Kubota:

"...One of the main reasons we chose the Kubota over other vehicles is because it comes with standard auxiliary hydraulics. This was the deciding factor for us in choosing a vehicle, and is necessary to operate the 3-point hitch. The auxiliary hydraulics are factory installed and operate the dump bed originally, but can be used to operate other things, such as our hitch, easily."

What kind of fuel mileage should I expect to get with the Kubota? I can't seem to find the answer online anywhere.

I was trying to decide this very same issue! Rtv 900 or new xuv gator. I analyzed it to death! Financing was not a factor since I paid cash. I went with the rtv900xt. It has the updated transmission, hydraulic power steering, hydraulic bed dump, spray in liner, canopy, and a 23hp kubota diesel. I love it and have no buyers remorse like i usually do!

I like putting it in low and 4wd and plowing through my trails. The concerns i had have not been an issue (ground clearance). I had it back to the dealer once for a hydraulic hose leak which was no big deal and greased up the ROPS so there is no squeeking. This is an awesome piece of machinery since my otd was low 12's. I priced out The gator at over 15k. My neighbor has a gator and rode in my rtv and said "i should have waited and got this one"!

You cant go wrong with either. I liked the diesel gator alot! I cant believe JD put a chinese engine in the gas version!

I dont believe in do everything machines. If you want work machine buy rtv, play, get a razor.

Belhaven, congrats on the RTV! You've already mentioned the issue with rear receiver hitch. One thing that will not likely impress you is the location of the ignition key. I noticed on my RTV 900 xt that the hours were piling up on the meter. One day I found the key turned to the accessory position. This was causing the hour meter to be operating without the engine running. I new my son was the last to drive the RTV and accused him of leaving the key on. Turns out that his knee and later mine were contacting the key when exiting the seat. We didn't know that our knees were switching the key to the accessory position.

My fix was to purchase a plastic spiral entending key chain to the 4wd lever and the other end to the key. I then instructed all RTV drivers to remove the key and let it dangle everytime the engine was shut off. No unwanted hours accumulated since. See picture.
