I own a John Deere 2350. It has been stuck with the MFWD engaged since I have owned it. The solenoid works correctly and the pressure test indicates proper pressure and lack there of as per the specs. The clutch pack is now out and the spacer ring around the basket is clearly worn which will result in lack of disengagement. I also see wear in the clutch hub where the inner spline disks have worn a hollow where each one sits on the hub. I have not disassembled the clutch yet to look at the piston etc. However, my question is assuming the spacer and any other parts that effect the actuation and release of the clutch springs are working properly will the hollows worn by the inner spline disks on the hub prevent the clutch from disengaging? In other words, am I looking at a new gear and disks the former of which I suspect NLA.
