John Deere relife program

There is a program in Deere construction equipment. It is powertrain relife. They replace the Transmission, engine, axles and other parts on the equipment and give it a 3 year warranty. With construction being used as hard as it is and the cost of new equipment, it looks to be a good solution. I was wondering if anyone is planning on doing this with farm equipment. If might work with large equipment, not so much with CUT.

I know why they are not doing it with the CUTs, just too many of the Gray Market Yanmars would dip into that program in a heart beat. It's not a few hundred mind you, it's in the 10s of thousands.

HOWEVER, in another re-life activity, those with JD/Yanmar CUTs are now seeing the CUT community removing the dead engines and attaching the Harbor-Freight engines with a direct chain to the geared tooth fly wheels. Many of the CUTs are 30Hp or less. On the 12 to 16Hp range, the H-F engines are improvements. EZ to wire the electric start to the key switch and a mower cable to the throttle cable.

People have also done this to Ford 8Ns, Case, and Massey machines. It's a retro repower method that will not break the bank either.
