I know..., lol. I am actually very excited for him- I love to see people, including myself, get great deals. I even called my local dealer to find out if there were any "special trade in deals" but I didn't want to tell him what I heard on line, so I figured I'll go back to my armchair, laptop, and mouse and live vicariously through another individual's good fortune.

They have my tractor on site now and we have a delivery date set for next Monday June 20.

Well sorry they offered to deliver it last Friday but I postponed until today because I had a fishing trip planned. Today I had an unexpected family emergency come up and I had to postpone delivery again. It is now scheduled for the day after tomorrow, June 22. I can't stand the delays either but at least it's me causing the delays and not them. I talked to the salesman today and he's coming to my place with the machine to make sure everything gets taken care of as promised. I made a few conditions on this trade to make sure I was getting replacement hardware set up exactly like the one I'm trading in. So you will all hear from me on Wednesday after the trade happens. My old machine looks great and I'll post pics of both old and new machines after the trade.

Thanks for the well wishes GH. My mother in-law is dying of cancer and we had to put her in hospice yesterday. Always sad to lose a loved one but she's 83 years old, ready to go, and she knows where she's going so she's happy. It's just sad for those of us left behind but we'll see her again some day.

Actually, I believe it is the JD $2500 rebate that made this all possible. Anyone with a used 2520 could approach any dealer and ask what they'd give you for your tractor in trade on a new one and then figure in the rebate to see what your net out of pocket is. In my case my dealer approached me and me net out of pocket was $534 including tax. Here's one pic of the old and one of the new.

I have noticed some small differences between my old 2008 machine and this 2011 machine. I'll point those out if anyone is interested.
